Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy has completed the expansion and replacement works of electricity networks in Minya at a cost of EGP 720 million between 2014 and 2020.
The electricity upgrade plan included the installation of 15 new distributors, 400 transformers, 3,785 medium-voltage poles, and 4,372 low-voltage poles, and the addition of 265.2 megavolt amperes (MVA), the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
In addition, 69 kilometres of overhead power lines were replaced with underground cables in the governorate of Minya at a cost of EGP 80 million.
